- Description
- The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract for repair of USCGC POLAR STAR (WAGB 10). The work package will include the following: (1) perform block upgrades and center section overhauls on #1A and #3A Main Diesel Engines, and (2) a Center Section Overhaul on the #3 Ship Service Diesel Generator. The work is to be done pierside at Pier 36, Seattle, WA. The solicitation will be issued on or about 01 February 2002, with a proposal closing date of on or about 04 March 2002. Period of performance will commence 20 April 2002 and conclude 30 June 2002. This is an unrestricted best value procurement. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
