- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-01. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) # 811372 and this number shall be referenced on all quotes/offers. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a brand name or equal quantity of (4) Global Thermoelectronic, Inc. model# 5120N-24-SI-SO thermal electric generators and (4) model# 5120N-12-SI-SO thermal electric generators. This RFQ is 100% small business set aside and the National American Industrial Classification is 335312 (SIC code 3621), and the Business Standard is 1000 employees. This procurement action will result in a Firm Fixed Price - one time buy contract. Standard industry warranty or better. Quotes shall also contain sufficient technical information for the Government to evaluate any "equal" offer in accordance with the specifications provided above. Offerors quoting other than "brand name" without sufficient technical descriptions will not be considered. Award will be based on the lowest price, technically acceptable offer. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. Delivery shall be 30 days ARO. FOB Destination - Quantico, VA 22135 -- All Quotes shall be submitted by facsimile to (202)324-5722 no later than 2:00pm EDT, Jan. 25, 2002, and be clearly marked with RFQ# 811372. Only fax offers will be considered. The point of contact for all information is Robert M. Heckman, Contract Specialist, at the address and phone number listed above. No hand carried quotes will be accepted. Offerors may download the RFQ by accessing the FedBizopps (FBO) website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FBO site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Item (2/01) with this proposal.
