Description
Computer Sciences Corporation CSC intends to issue via competition a solicitation to provide uninterrupted operation of voice and data telecommunications to the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Huntsville Alabama, and the Trade Zone in Madison, AL for one (1) base year and one (1) year option period. Period of Performance (POP) for the base year shall be 4/30/02 through 4/30/03. The service will consolidate all telephone circuits at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Huntsville Alabama, and the Trade Zone in Madison, AL including trunks, lines, and Off-Premises Extensions (OPX'S) that are connected to or used for the operation of the Private Automated Branch Exchange's (PABX'S). Potential vendors competing for the MSFC local telecommunications circuits shall be required to have an operational Central Office in the Huntsville/Madison County area. These circuits provide the local dial tone and local area calling for this facility, provide local Huntsville and area calling to the surrounding communities, local near-site T1 data and ISDN services. The 544 central office provides three hundred twenty-two (322) trunks consisting of forty-six (46) DID trunks, forty-six (46) DOD trunks and two hundred thirty (230) combo trunks provide true two-way processing. The 961 central office provides one hundred fifteen (115) trunks consisting of ninety-two (92) DID and twenty-three (23) DOD trunks. The 961 and 544 DID telephone numbers shall not be changed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via e-mail in approximately thirty (30) days from the posted date of this synopsis to the firms that respond to this synopsis. The RFP will include technical documentation (SOW), and all relevant information for proposal preparation.. Interested and responsible parties shall provide sufficient information not later than January 28, 2002 such as company name, point of contact, a brief history of similar telecommunications services, Solicitation Number, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address via e-mail to kaye.h.pettus@msfc.nasa.gov to request a copy of the RFP. Responses received after January 28, 2002 without the required information noted above will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. The solicitation number 030CSC22758 must be noted on the request for the RFP. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE "NOT" ACCEPTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments,and clarifying questions and answers at http://procurement.nasa.gov .
