- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-02-Q-1551. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following item: One (1) Fiber channel, fault tolerant Raid storage system with the following specifications: 1.452 Terabytes data storage capacity; 64 bit internal memory bus, RISC processor control; 256 MB segmentable on board cache with battery backup; Fiber Channel Arbitrated Loop interface; Storage Area Network (SAN) upgrade path; Twelve (16+4+2 hot spares), 7200 rpm, 3.5 inch disk drives, 181 GB each; Hot swappable drive canisters with LCN SCSI address and keylocks; 2,100 watts total power supply capacity with hot-pluggable ability; Simultaneous RAID levels 3,5, bootable all operating systems; Up to 5.804 Terabytes per controller with 181 GB drives; 85 MB/sec sustained read transfer rate RAID 3; Dual controller capable with automatic fail overt; Automatic start and rebuild of hot spare capability; Network console failure notification; PCI Fiber Channel controller; 3 drive enclosures each with two 350 watt, hot-pluggable power supplies, (2100 watts total). All fiber channel cables and system user manual included and 5 year warranty on disk drives and all enclosure components. Required delivery is 30 days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334112; size standard is 1,000 employees. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-03. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
