- FISC Norfolk ? Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire services and material necessary to operate and maintain the Inactive Ship On-Site Maintenance Office at Bremerton, WA and remote sites including but not limited to San Francisco Bay, CA area, Beaumont, TX and San Diego, CA. These services include the alteration services such as receipt, inspection, survey, maintenance and disposal of Naval vessels. It is intended to negotiate a cost plus fixed fee modification to an existing contract with George G. Sharp of Virginia Beach, VA on a sole source basis. The authority for this sole source action is 10 USC 2304(c)(1). The period of performance will be 1 April 2002 through 30 September 2002. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information submitted and/or received. Requests for information in regards to this action should be made to the points of contact noted above.
