Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with United Technology/Hamilton Sundstrand of Windsor Locks, CT 06096, for 13 sets of support equipment to allow for organizational level maintenance support for the NP2000 propeller system. The OEM for the propeller system is United Technology/Hamilton Sundstrand. They have a commercial propeller system that is similar to the NP2000 and they have a complete line of support equipment that can be adapted for NP2000 use. As they are the designer and producer of the system, they have in depth knowledge of the system support equipment requirements. United Technology/Hamilton Sundstrand is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the NP2000 propeller. See Note 22. NAVAIR Synopsis No. 20022-02.
