Description

ISSUE DATE: 25 January 2002. The work includes removal of the existing 20 ft. x 30 ft. one story, wood frame, asphalt shingle gable roof structure which is painted with lead paint on the exterior wood clapboard siding. No burning or pulverizing is permitted. Dispose of as construction debris. Storage building is bearing on grade with no foundation. Disconnect and cap all electrical prior to demolition. Salvage two front doors; build new 20 ft. x 30 ft. wood frame building with vinyl siding exterior fa?ade and asphalt shingle gable roof; new electrical panels and wiring; new concrete foundation; new drywall interior, and incidental related work. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 1/25/2002. The date for receipt of quotes is on or about 2/19/ 2002 at 4:00 pm local time. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
