Description
This announcement is for informational purposes only. This is not a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) acquisition announcement, but rather is an announcement for South Carolina State University (SCSU), a Cooperative Agreement Recipient from FHWA. SCSU is serving as the National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) Resource Center (RC) and is responsible for the NSTI program and its financial management and data collection. The purpose of the NSTI is to increase the number of qualified persons pursuing transportation related careers by exposing junior and high school students to various transportation related careers and all modes of transportation. This goal will be reached by assisting up to 45 participating colleges and universities in conducting Summer Transportation Institutes. South Carolina State University (not FHWA) is soliciting Application packages from colleges or universities to host a Year 2002 Summer Transportation Institute (STI). Successful applicants will be awarded a one year Sub-Agreement with four one-year options that are renewable annually, upon satisfactory annual evaluations.
