Description
This is a modification to CBD/FBO announcements published 18 Oct 01 and modified 30 Oct 01. This announcement replaces the previous announcements entirely. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition basis, base cable television or satellite television services for Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake, CA. The contract will be a fixed price indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity, for a base year and four, one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this RFP is 513220 with a Size Standard of $11M. There are approximately 50 outlets for cable, the number of outlets may increase or decrease as requirements change. The cable or satellite services will need to include at a minimum mini basic, FM stations, full service and premium channels and local network stations (ABC, NBC, CBS etc). The contractor shall provide a "NAVY" channel for local usage; the Government will provide the equipment and recordings for broadcasting. Television service must have capability of providing local transmission of FM signals for use in viewing channels via headsets. At a minimum, 2 locations at NAWS will have a significant number of separately controlled televisions at a single cite. The contractor will provide installation and maintenance for the cable or satellite service. All cabling will be provided and maintained by the contractor. NAWS will allow access to power poles at current utility rates. The contractor may provide services to additional customers residing at NAWS, China Lake, CA. not listed within the terms of the resulting contract. Additional information will be provided in the Franchise Agreement, which will be provided with the RFP. The RFP will be issued on or about 29 Jan 02. The anticipated due date for proposals is 28 Feb 02, however, the actual proposal due date will be stated in the RFP when issued. No hard copies of the RFP will be furnished unless absolutely necessary.
