Description
This purchase is anticipated to be sole source to Pratt & Whitney. Qualification Requirements are not available. The Government does not have the drawings necessary to qualify sources. NOUN: Assembly rotor and stat, high pressure turbine module; NSN: 2840-01-468-4182NZ; P/N: 4084517-701; QTY: 13; U/I:EA; Delivery: NOV 4 EA, DEC 4 EA, JAN 5 EA, to Tinker AFB. APPLICABLE TO: F100PW229; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: approimately 10 inches high X 46 inches in diameter; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Primarily nickel alloy with titanium alloy; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Extracts the kinetic energy and turns it into mechanical energy to turn the rear compressor. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 24 JAN 02. Anticipated award date: 08 FEB 02. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. Government-furnished drawings are not available. TO: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed tohear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
