- Description
- This procurement is for AN/GRC-239 Trope/Satellite Support Radios (TSSR). The AN/GRC-239 is a lightweight line-of-site microwave transceiver that can be quickly set up to interconnect TRI-TAC equipment and GMF satellite terminals. The TSSRs are used to connect high output tactical field information devices, replacing cable on the battlefield, which can be easily compromised. The Government cannot provide design specifications, as the rights to the design are held by Microwave Radio Communications, LLC. The contract will provide TSSR, support equipment, spare parts and operation and maintenance training to the US Military. This procurement will be for a base year with four one-year option periods. A Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract is anticipated. The NAICS Code is 33422 and the number of employees is 750. The Government intends to issue this procurement on a sole source basis to Microwave Radio Communications, LLC, 101 Billerica Avenue, Building 6, North Billerica, MA 01862.
