NA This is a Modification to a previous notice. Combined Synopsis/Solicitation: DAAH03-02-1001 Amendment 03 The purpose of Amendment 03 to Solicitation DAAH03-02-1001 is to: a) Change the Solicitation Number from DAAH03-02-1001 to DAAH03-02-R-0003. b) Answer the following questions: Do all of the laptops have the same PCMCIA card? If not a list of all of the type of cards will be needed..., type, model and connector type? Wh at type of PCMCIA Card will be used in each laptop? PCMCIA Card Type and Model and type of connector from the PCMCIA Card itself to the cellular unit? Answer: All of the laptops will have the same type of PCMCIA card. It is the standard 56k modem card with fax capability. The connectors are all standard. The computers were purchased at different times, and we don't have a list of card manufacturers. All the c ards have a phone jack built into them. The connector should be provided with the phone and will have the adapter to fit the phone on one end and a regular phone plug on the other. The offer due date has not changed. The Solicitation number has changed from DAAH03-02-1001 to DAAH03-02-R-0003 Following are the previous notices published under the old number DAAH03-02-1001: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals ar e being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued Solicitation number DAAH03-02-1001. This Solicitation is issued as a request for Quotation. The Solicitation Document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01 Effective 22 Oct 2001. This will be a Firm-Fixed price unrestricted procurement, NAICS Code 513322, Small Business size standard 1,500 employees. The following is a list of line items numbers including quantities and units of measure: CLIN 0001, Cellular Telephones, Quantity: 159, Unit: each Each telephone will come with a desktop charger, and auto charger, a laptop computer adapter, a carrying case or belt clip and hands free headset. CLIN 0002, Cellular Telephone Service, Quantity 12, Unit: Month. 350 minutes per month per telephone nation wide cellular telephone service with caller ID, call waiting, voice mail, free long distance and no roaming charges. All program minutes will be pooled for use by all the phones. The contractor shall provide Cellular communications services to support the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Logistics Assistance Personnel stationed at various locations in the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. Number of telephones required: 159. Each phone will come with a desktop charger, an auto charger, a laptop computer adapter, a carrying case or belt clip and a hands free headset. Required service: A minimum of 350 minutes per month per telephone, Nation wide cellular telephone service, caller ID, call waiting, voice mail, free long distance and no roaming charges. All program minutes will be pooled for use by all the phones. Each p hone will be issued to employees with a number at his or her current geographical location. Distribution of Programmed telephones shall be arranged in coordination with the Readiness Directorate personnel -FOB origin. Period of Performance: The period of p erformance shall be 12 months from the date of contract award. An option for two additional periods of 12 months each is included. The provisions of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, apply to this acquisition. Quotes will be evaluated based on best price. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with this offer. Is the requirement to provide local phone numbers to US Army Aviation and Miss ile Command (AMCOM) personnel's current locations a firm requirement, or would AMCOM accept the closest mobile # to the AMCOM personnel's current location. The numbers provided would still include the pooled minutes requested, and roaming and long-distanc e nation-wide? ANSWER: The numbers must be local numbers to the location where the personnel is stationed. The following questions were submitted: Are the phones to be stationed predominately in Alaska and traveling around the country or will the phones be stationed permanently at specified locations across the US? Do you need local prefixes outside of Alaska? Will these phones only be used when connected to computers? What type of connection to the computer will you need? ANSWER: There are no locations listed for Alaska or Hawaii (See Amendment 01). Alaska and Hawaii are no longer part of the requirement. All numbers will be local for the areas where the personnel are stationed. Only about 10 per cent of the time will be spent wi th the phone hooked to the computer, and then it will be by PCMCIA Card The offer due date has not changed.
