- Description
- The work performed under this contract shall include test, evaluation and development of Nondestructive Evaluation NDE technology in support of FHWA NDE program. This shall include the testing of research prototypes and commercially available instrumentation, developing methods for implementing NDE technologies, developing new NDE techniques and tools, and developing methodologies for integrating NDE data with infrastructure systems and current high inspection processes. The following types of work are included in the scope of this contract: 1. On-site engineering and research by full time contractor staff 2. NDE testing by technicians with current ASNT level II and III certifications 3. Laboratory services such as mechanical testing, X-ray imaging and chemical analysis 4. Structural engineering, bridge inspection, and work in related fields 5. Assistance in the procurement goods, services and equipment in support of the NDE program 6. Operation and maintenance of Government-owned vehicles 7. Construction and rehabilitation services. The solicitation and all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) under FebBizOpps at www.eps.gov. Choose the "EPS for Vendors" option followed by selection of the DOT section. The solicitation and related documents will be posted under RFP number DTFH61-02-R-00045. NO WRITTEN, TELEPHONIC, FACSIMILE, OR E-MAIL REQUESTS will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the EPS (FebBizOpps) website for any solicitation amendments. The estimated date of release of the solicitation is FEB 1, 2002, however, the actual date will be indicated on the first page of the solicitation.
