Description
Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) intends to procure MK 31 Mod 1 stabilizers in accordance with drawing 3261979 Revision E and associated drawings and specifications. The solicitation is currently anticipated to include a base quantity of approximately 400 units. Four option quantities will also be included, from which additional sets may be ordered based on stepladder quantities up to 840 units each year. Over the contract life, up to 4,200 units may be ordered. A first article consisting of four units will be required from unproven sources. An Inspection System Program Plan will be required within 30 days after date of contract award. Delivery of first article units is desired within 120 days after acceptance of the Inspection Plan. Delivery of first production lot 100 units is within 120 days after acceptance of the first articles. Initial inspection shall be at source with final inspection and acceptance at destination, which is Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport in Keyport WA. In order to be eligible for award, offerors are required to have an ANSI/ASWC Q9000-2000 or equivalent quality program. This acquisition will be conducted using FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. A firm-fixed price supply type contract is anticipated. This procurement is set-aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Notes 1 and 26 apply. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by FISC Puget Sound. When issued, the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". It is currently anticipated that the RFP will be posted at NECO on or about 22 January 2002, with a 30-day closing. All firms wishing to submit an quote are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone requests will be accepted. A fax to (360) 476-5670 or an email to "sherry_k_barnett@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted to request the drawing package associated with this RFP. No paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection.
