- Description
- This project consists of reconditioning of existing roads including shaping of roadways, turnouts, parking areas and approach road intersections. Compaction, ditch cleaning, culvert inlet/outlet cleaning, minor slide removal, crushing and placement of crushed aggregate. Project is located on Prince of Wales Island and can be accessed from the existing road system. The project site is from NFSR 20 and the NFSR 25 on through to the boat dock in Whale Pass, Alaska. The estimated price for the project is $250,000 to $500,000. The contract time is 90 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOps site at http://www.fedbizops.gov and the Tongass National Forest Internet Homepage on or about Fedruary 7, 2002 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation by way of the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests for the solicitation should reference solicitation R10-05-02-05. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
