Description
This purpose of this modification to the previous Synopsis posted 12-28-01, RFQ SP4410-02-Q-7002 to change the RFQ # to read SP4410-02-Q-7003. The reissuance of this NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE remains unchanged. Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to McCamly Plaza Hotel, 50 Capital Avenue, S.W., Battle Creek, MI 49017. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITAITON WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This sole source award will be made for Lease or Rental of Facilities. The requirement includes the following: Defense Logistics Information Service will be hosting a DLA CSR Conference in Battle Creek, MI, from April 6, 2002 thru April 12, 2002. All events of the conference shall be at one location, including guest rooms, conference meeting rooms, conference breakout rooms, mandatory registration and mini expo. There will be approximate 200-215 attendees. The general session and all breakout rooms will need set-up of electrical and phone hookups for presentations and projections. The general session room will also require a microphone for speakers and hand held microphones during the Questions and Answers session. There is also a need for (6) additional microphones for the panel discussions. The computer lab/computer storage room will need phone lines, electrical hookups for computer loading and testing. The computer lab needs to be secured and lockable for DLA?s personnel only. The facility shall have accessibility to allow the set-up of 10-20 exhibits booths for the Mini Expo on April 9, 2002. Breakout Training rooms, (qty. of 6) shall allow computer hookups, electrical outlets and phone hookups for approximately 50 people per room. There shall be (2) hospitality suites for meeting locations during each and every day of the conference. The suites shall be able to accommodate several meetings simultaneously with several areas for conversation and multiple table arrangements. Light refreshments will be provided for morning and afternoon breaks. If there are any other Hotels/Motels in the Battle Creek, MI, area only can comply with all the requirements stated above, submit your proposal before or on the closing date. If no responses are received by January 9, 2002, a Sole Source contract with McCamly Plaza Hotel will be awarded.
