- NA The Portland District Corps of Engineers plans to solicit for the installation of work includes DC electrical components at John Day and The Dalles projects. Concrete work at both the John Day Project and the Dalles Dam project. Work at the John Day Proje ct. Remove two battery chargers at and install four new battery chargers. Remove three batteries and rack and make operational three batteries and rack. Removal and Reclamation of Lead-Acid Battery Cells. Perform field test. Work at The Dalles Project. Rem ove five MG sets and install 8 battery chargers with a possibility of modifying power and distribution panels and installing conduits and cabling to make battery chargers operational. Removal and Reclamation of Lead-Acid Battery Cells. Remove inverter and install inverter and bypass transformer and make operational. Perform field test. If there is an Asbestos Abatement the following will be included in the scope of work. Submittal preparation for Asbestos Abatement work including attending pre-work meeting. Mobilization and Demobilization for Abatement work. Disposal of Asbestos containing material. Services of a Certified Asbestos Abatement Worker. Services of a Certified Asbestos Abatement Supervisor. Services of a Certified Asbestos Abatement Air Monitoring Personnel. Solicitation anticipated NLT 8 Jan 2002, with award NLT 11 Feb 2002, period of performance March through September 2002
