- ISSUE DATE: 12/28/01. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and disposal necessary to Renovate Single Family Raised Ranch and incidental related work at U.S. Coast Guard Housing Martha?s Vineyard, MA. The scope of work consists of the following: 1. Remove upper level tub/tile surround. Install new fiberglass tub/surround. 2. Remove lower level shower and install new fiberglass shower. 3. Remove kitchen cabinets and countertops and install new kitchen cabinets and countertops. 4. Remove single pane windows and install new vinyl class double hung insulating windows. 5. Remove all wood paneling in lower level walls. Install new 3/8? drywall over all walls. 6. Paint entire interior of dwelling. 7. Upgrade existing electrical system. 8. Replace approximately 100 S.F. of missing exterior cedar shingles. 9. Repair water leaks in lower level ceiling. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed issues. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. NAICS code is 233210. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 12/28/01. Quotes are due on or about 01/29/2002. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. Line of credit is $500,000.
